The critical question for many theaters in the year 2020 centered around the pos-sibility of staying in touch with their audiences. The question arose not only due to economic concerns and the political considerations of publicly funded theaters, but because the audience is necessary for the existence of theater as an art form in itself. A crisis of assembly emerged through the pandemic, and, above all for the theaters, a crisis of audience and of co-presence.
